Actor. Educator

Devon is an actor and voice teacher based in New York, a Certified Teacher of the Miller Voice Method (mVm), and an Alexander Technique Teacher Trainee with the Sapientia Initiative. Her work helps performers expand their range of expression by freeing the voice, and in doing so deepen their emotional intelligence and sense of self. Whether one-on-one or in a group classroom, she offers each student sensitive, individualized attention.

Devon teaches Voice and Speech in the BFA program at Pace University and Voice to second-year BFA students at NYU’s Atlantic Acting School, and is the voice coach for the MCC Theater’s MCC Uncensored. She has also taught at Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Brown University/Trinity Rep, and The Ridgefield Theatre Barn, and coaches privately. Her classes draw on mVm, the Alexander Technique, and speech work grounded in Knight-Thompson Speechwork, along with on-camera diagnostics that let students see their own growth over a semester. She has logged more than 3,500 hours teaching students from age 11 through adult.

As an actor, Devon has performed at Cleveland Play House, Trinity Repertory Company, Shadowland Stages, The Playwrights Realm, and New Stage Theatre. On screen, she has appeared on FBI (CBS), New Amsterdam (NBC), and in Kitty Green’s The Assistant (Sundance Select). She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity.

Devon holds an MFA in Acting from Brown University/Trinity Rep and a BFA from NYU, where she trained at Playwrights Horizons Theater School, the Classical Studio, and the Meisner Extension, and studied Commedia dell’Arte. Her further training includes Knight-Thompson Speechwork (Experiencing Speech, Phonetics Intensive, Experiencing Accents) and the Lucid Body. She is a member of the National Alliance of Acting Teachers and VASTA.

Devon is committed to creating anti-racist, inclusive spaces that promote equity for students across differences of race, ethnicity, gender, culture, class, and ability. She also serves as a DEIB facilitator at Private Prep, leading conversations that center educators and voices historically sidelined from cultural criticism.
